In the first two decades of the 21st century alone, several American sportscar racers have achieved remarkable success. Corvette Racing, founded in 1999, has secured eight victories at Le Mans, four at Daytona, and claimed the American Le Mans Series championship 10 times. Cadillac has also made its mark, winning championships with two versions of the CTS, the ATS, and the impressive DPi-V.R. And of course, no conversation about American racing cars would be complete without mentioning the Dodge Viper.

When the original roadster was launched over 30 years ago, it didn’t exactly scream "racer," despite its 8.0-liter engine. But as it evolved into the GTS coupe, and various racing teams worked to develop it, the Viper found significant success, with overall wins at events like the Nurburgring, Spa, and Daytona, as well as championship titles and class victories from Brazil to Japan. From 1996 to 2005, the Viper GTS-R participated in 262 races, winning 163 of them, according to Wikipedia.

And when you think of racing Vipers, you might picture one like this, right? Red paint, white stripes, BBS wheels, and the Team Oreca livery—think of it as the Gran Turismo Viper.

In 2000, when a Viper GTS-R won at Daytona, it wasn’t just another victory in a famous 24-hour race. It was the first time an American production car had triumphed at the event—a feat worth celebrating. To mark this, 10 special Daytona 91s  where made in collaboration with Woodhouse Dodge dealership and Autoformgroup with the "91" referencing the race number. These cars came with a range of motorsport-inspired features, such as an adjustable rear wing, a redesigned front end with driving lights, a beefy rear diffuser, and a few performance enhancements inside.

This particular Daytona 91 received some additional upgrades like a full Billy Boat exhaust system to aplify the  sound, a kill switch outside the car, just like the GTS-R had in the time, the brakes where upgraded by Brembo, the suspension is from Koni and adjustable, and several motorsport-specific changes, including a harness, roll-bar and fire extinguisher.
